When did Facebook become my mom?
This week I’ve been listening to the song Losing by Tenth Avenue North. Great song. Great message. The song says “Father give me grace to forgive them, cause I feel like the one losing”. The idea is great. Forgiveness, no matter how simple the word, is one of the most difficult things to do as a person. Nobody likes to say “I was wrong”. That’s human nature. We all want to be right all of the time.
Another line of the song is “This is love, this is hate. We all have a choice to make”. No matter how someone may wrong us or may treat us, we all have a choice in our reaction. The reaction to a situation can greatly affect what takes place after the situation. If we want to be a light, we can’t walk around with a pretentious attitude of others are wrong, I am right, and that’s just the way it is. Even when we are not shown favor by others, it’s our duty as an extension of Jesus to shine the light and show grace and mercy, the same mercy that has been given to us at some point in our lives, to others.
And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ (Matthew 18:33 ESV)
I want to so badly discover who God intends for me to be. I want every second to count. I want to know His plan in not only my life, but the lives of those I love and care about. I want to be so thrilled about who Jesus is, as well as what He has done in my life and the amount of mercy and grace He has given to me. I want to be so alive in Him that no allure or ideology of this world can pull my into apathy.
In reality I have an amazing life, an amazing family, great parents, an amazing future wife, an amazing church and church family. I get to coach softball and basketball, which I love because I get to help kids in life. I get the chance to help them see that this life, His life, is the only way to live and truly be alive. I want God to show me why he chose me, and I want to discover what He has planned for me.
“You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 (ESV)
We look at our lives so many times and wonder what we can do to fix them? Why do I feel this way? How come my ship hasn’t come in?
I was looking at my verse of the day app and it gave me this verse.
Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked? (Ecclesiastes 7:13 ESV)
We are made exactly how we are supposed to be. We go through the things we go through for a reason. Sometimes things make no sense, sometimes they hurt, but I believe with all that I am that God has a plan and a purpose. You are not forgotten. The trials you go through, the bad days, they are just that…days. Nothing lasts forever. Remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that there is always going to be a better day.
I really want a custom fitted suit. They are so expensive though. Anyone wanna road trip to China??
